For the first time since its foundation, the Bachakademie has a new logo. The symbolism of the old logo has been retained, whilst the appearance is fresher and more colourful. The notes b-a-c-h [Bb-A-C-B] can still be clearly recognized in the three squares. Whilst the first square, with its scholarly blue, takes Bach as the source of the Bachakademie’s work, the natural sign represents not only B natural, but also the broad spectrum of the Bachakademie, something which will be manifested through the European Music Festval in particular, whose colour is to be orange in the future. In the centre, however, in the green square with the note heads for A and C, are the people – the audience, and the Friends with over 1,500 members.
