New concert formats & music education

Hin und weg!

“Hin und weg!” (Blown away) is the name of the Bachakademie’s mobile concert format, with which the Gaechinger Cantorey and Hans-Christoph Rademann travel to various different locations within Stuttgart. The programmes always include a Bach cantata, which is performed there, then divided into individual musical excerpts, before being performed complete for a second time.

BachBewegt!

BachBewegt! is the children’s and youth programme of the Internationale Bachakademie Stuttgart. Here music moves not only hearts, but also voices, bodies and the spirit. Within a framework of different formats, children and young people encounter music, further develop their own creativity and take away enriching experiences.

The Bachwoche Stuttgart in spring 2023 is dedicated to the "transition" - including that of Bach from Köthen to Leipzig. Musikfest Stuttgart

In 2023, the Musikfest will be completely "natürlich" (natural) and will be dedicated to the various facets of this term. As is typical of the Bach Academy, the program will be a dynamic source of inspiration for the festival: with exciting interpretations at different venues, with internationally renowned artists and in cooperation with leading Stuttgart institutions.
