Season's concerts
Full of hope for a new start to culture in the fall, the Gaechinger Cantorey opens its 2021/22 concert season in October at the Forum am Schlosspark Ludwigsburg and the Liederhalle with Joseph Haydn's oratorio The Creation. Like no other work, it stands for new beginnings. Bach's masterpieces are on the programme in the traditional advent subscription concerts in December. Works rarely heard in concert will be performed with Johann Christian Bach's Miserere at the end of January 2022, with Carl Orff's fairy-tale opera The Moon at the beginning of March in Stuttgart and great choral music by Bruckner and Hindemith in May in the Liederhalle. The highlight of the subscription series at the Forum am Schlosspark in Ludwigsburg is the performance of BachBewegt!Tanz! at the end of February. The Gaechinger Cantorey and Hans-Christoph Rademann provide an atmospheric end to the season in summer with a concert performance of Handel's Masque Acis and Galatea – for the first time at the Residenzschloss Ludwigsburg.
